The purpose of this short communication is to present an audiology curriculum, including a lecture series and audiology practicum series that was developed for the Hearing and Equilibrium Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
In 1989, I was requested by Horst Konrad, MD, to develop an audiology curriculum for training otolaryngology residents for submission to the Hearing and Equilibrium Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. This committee, in turn, sent it to the residency review committees as a guideline for reviewing residents’ training in audiology. However, this curriculum was never published.
