This issue of the American Journal of Audiology (AJA) contains the first of several research forums that resulted from AHS 2012, the 2nd International Conference on Adult Hearing Screening, held June 7–9, 2012, at Como Lake (Italy). The December 2013 issue of AJA will include the remaining peer-reviewed articles from this conference. Each grouping of papers deals with topics of focus from that conference, and the one appearing in this issue focuses on hearing screening in adults.
Each forum begins with a brief introductory article by the conference organizers that introduces the theme and overviews the contributions. Papers accepted into the upcoming research forums will appear in the Papers-in-Press section of the journals' website (http://aja.asha.org/papbyrecent.dtl) before publication in the December 2013 issue. If readers would like notification when those papers are posted, this can be obtained by signing up for Papers-In-Press alerts at http://journals.asha.org/cgi/alerts/etoc.
